Vera was born on January 11, 1945 to Dobbie and Mary Sanders in Fairfield, Alabama . She grew up in a household with 13 siblings, and was fondly nicknamed “Number 11”. After graduating from Fairfield Industrial High School in May, 1963, she landed her first job as a Clerk at the Federal Reserve for 23 years. She met and got married to Freddie Rosser, in 1969, going on to have one child, Fredrick J. Rosser. When Vera had Fredrick, she dedicated her life to being a wonderful mother.
