In Loving Memory of Tina Marie Mattern

September 16, 1958 – July 31, 2025

Tina Marie Mattern, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away on July 31, 2025. She was 66.

Born in Gainesville, Florida, on September 16, 1958, and raised in Live Oak. She is survived by her loving husband, William Mattern Jr. Tina was a devoted mother to Sarah Mattern, Stephanie Mattern, and William Mattern III, and a cherished grandmother to William Mattern IV (“Liam”) and Owen Mattern. She also leaves behind two daughters-in-law, Kisha Davis and Robin Mattern, and her dear brother, David Hunter.

Tina’s life was a living testament to kindness, generosity, and grace. She found joy in many things—spending time with her children and grandchild, attending church, sharing laughter at book club, traveling, and playing golf. 

Anyone who met her will attest to her warmth. She lit up a room and made friends wherever she went.

A celebration of Tina’s life will be held on Sunday, August 31st at 12:00 p.m. at the Alaqua Country Club Clubhouse in Longwood, Florida. All who knew and loved Tina are invited to gather, share stories, and honor a life so beautifully lived.

Tina’s legacy is one of unconditional love and a heart open to all. Her life reminds us of the words from Ephesians 4:32:

"Be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other, just as in Christ God forgave you."

She will be deeply missed, endlessly remembered, and forever loved.
