Tim's obituary

Tim Edward Laib passed away unexpectedly on February 3, at his home in Rancho Cucamonga, California.

Tim was born August 23, 1958 in Warden, WA to Delmar and Marian (Depee) Laib. He grew up on the family farm with his parents, sister Karen, and brother Glen. He graduated from Warden High School in 1976 and went on to study Radio and Audio Production at Eastern Washington University. Tim moved to Kennewick and then Seattle Washington to start a family and pursue a career in radio broadcasting. Later in life, Tim relocated to California for employment opportunities and endless sunshine.

Tim spent his early adult life as a radio DJ under the name Tim Edwards. He got his start in Moses Lake at KWIQ Radio. Later he worked at radio stations in the Tri-cities, Tacoma, and Seattle. He had an exceptional voice, well past his broadcasting days. Later in his career Tim spent time in marketing and computer software sales and development. He learned how to write code, design barcode based computer systems, and manage teams of software engineers. Most recently, Tim worked in the auto industry. Throughout his varied and expansive career Tim’s ability to network and connect with people was always apparent.

Tim cherished his family dearly. His daughters, Nicole and Samantha, held a special place in his heart. Between his time in Washington and California he made a lifetime of memories with them. Tim will also be remembered for his humor, which will live on in both of his daughters. His wit and observations about current events would make you laugh and see the humor or irony in any situation. Tim loved music and was an avid concert goer throughout his life. He was a wealth of knowledge when it came to music, and had so many stories and memories to share. He was also an amazingly talented musician himself.

Tim lived life to the fullest, and he will be missed by many. Tim was preceded in death by his parents, Delmar and Marian (Depee) Laib. He is survived by his sister Karen (Laib) McClure, brother Glen Laib, daughter Nicole (Laib) Rutledge, daughter Samantha Wilmart, and grandson Wyatt Rutledge. A celebration of life will be held February 24th in Moses Lake, Washington.
