Dear Gail and family. Suzette and I are so sorry to hear of Tom’s passing. He was a great friend and teammate from my days with the Grandragons. Always gentle and supportive. We were sorry to miss his celebration of life as out of the country but said a prayer for him and you. He will be truly missed. Vince and Suzette
Dear Gail, I was so saddened to hear of Tom's passing. It's hard to believe it's been over 20 years since I first met you two! Tom was always the easy-going happy person every time I saw him. I was constantly inspired by how the two of you were always so active and busy in your lives. I will miss the time together.
Sorry to hear of Tom's passing. My heart goes out to Gail and family. I remember taking OC1 lessons from Jackie with Tom. He had a steady quietness and a determination that I admired. And that "slow to erupt" smile of his!
It is with surprise and sorrow that Pat and myself learned of the passing of Tom. He was always a great friend and and we enjoyed his good nature and friendship very much. Tom was an excellent Father and with Gail they raised three wonderful children. Tom very much enjoyed time spent with their grandchildren and liked to talk about each one. Tom had an easy smile and a great sense of humor, he was smart and had a very caring spirt. The world needs more people like Tom.
When I first met Tom I admired his gentle calm nature. As we spent more time together over the past couple of years I was privileged to hear his many stories, with his signature chuckles as punctuation. Tom always made time and space to listen. Tom seemed to take joy from the simplest things. My heart goes out to Gail & all of Tom’s family and hope the memories can hold their hearts.
I wish to pass along my heartfelt condolences to Gail and the entire Oliver family. Tom was a prince of a man. He was a kind, decent, thoughtful, and intelligent man who I have known and worked with for 45 years. I was proud to call him a good friend. Tom, may you rest in peace.
Dear Tom you were so dearly loved by your family and friends who were like family! Craig and I (Patsy) were so fortunate to know and spend precious time with you and Gail. Our hearts break for all. Your departure has left a vacancy that we will try to fill with all the joyous memories we have of You!!
Great team member, community-centre board member, and Belarussian 2010 Olympic volunteer — creative, enthusiastic, helpful. My best wishes for Gail and their family.
Always sad when we lose a teammate like Tom , his humour and his quick come backs on the boat will be missed by me . Last time I talked to Tom was on the phone and he showed me how much love he had for Gail , I will not forget that conversation . Rest in peace Tom , stay strong Gail and family
Dear Gail and all the McNally cousins, so sorry to hear of Tom's passing. Through the years we would get updates on everyone thru Aunt Grace and later Clarke and Diane. May you hold the wonderful memories of such a great guy close to you heart.
I am so sorry to hear about Tom's passing. He was truly one of a kind. I remember when I first met the wonderful Oliver family, it was right before Christmas and Tom had waited until the kids went to bed and put gifts outside their doors to surprise them when they woke up. It was just one of many times that I had the pleasure of witnessing his love and care for his family, his friends, me (Traci and I always appreciated that "hamburger money"). I will never forget his warm eyes, mischievous grin and love for new kitchen gadgets. Rest easy, Tom Cat. I love you all so very much.
