One of the first known images of Steve doing leatherwork. His leatherwork has always been inextricably linked with his Christian faith. He and his "Jesus People" friends did leatherwork to support themselves and their mission of sharing their faith with others.
Thank you for allowing me to be a part of your life celebration today. Steve was a dedicated family man, craftsman, and friend to all who were lucky enough to cross his path, He made the world a more beautiful place to be with his friendship and art. I will miss his presence in the community and his slow and steady saunter down Manchester Avenue. Â Rest in peace Steve.Â
Steve was my brother and my friend. Â He was my rock and support during the last few years. Â He talked ALOT, Â told goofy stories, and often did silly goofy things. Â He was a person extremely dependable, intelligent & talented a artist. Â He passed those Genes on to his Children and Grandchildren. Â It was clear at a very early age (9?) that he was going to be an artist. Â He pursued his dream, his faith, his kindness to others and never looked back. Â He was someone who made a real difference in the world during his lifetime. Â
