We have received Stephen's ashes and we are making plans for some sort of memorial. We have not received his death certificate yet.

The Greene County Medical Examiner released Stephen's remains to the funeral home two days ago and now we are waiting for a death certificate.

Stephen's eyes were harvested by Saving Sight (https://saving-sight.org/) We are told that they are able to preserve his eyes until ready to transplant. It may be some time before we hear if they find their way to a a recipient.

It is with deep sorrow and a heavy heart that we announce the passing of Stephen Joesph Meyle, beloved son and brother who departed from us on May 15, 2023. Stephen's absence leaves a void in our lives, but his memory will forever be etched in our hearts.
