Sharon Staples, of Beverly, MA, passed away peacefully on January 5th, 2025, leaving behind a legacy of faith, love and joy. A devout Christian, she devoted her life to serving God and others, touching countless lives with her kindness, strength and compassion. She is survived by her husband Dave Staples, 3 children and 6 grandchildren.
Born on April 11, 1949, in Lynn, Massachusetts, Sharon lived a life full of purpose and creativity. She spent many years as a missionary in Brazil, sharing her faith and making lasting connections. Upon returning to the United States, she worked as a guidance counselor in Somerville, MA, where her dedication to her students earned her numerous awards for her outstanding service. She spent the last 22 years of her life in Beverly, MA, where she was cherished by her grandkids, her friends and her community.
A woman of many talents and interests, Sharon loved to play guitar, build crafts, go camping, and worship the Lord. Her creativity and zest for life inspired everyone who knew her. She was a devoted wife, married to her beloved husband for 51 years, and a proud mother to Kristen, Nathan, and Heather. You could often find her playing games with her six grandchildren, going for long nature walks with Dave, or reading a book quietly in her chair by the fire.
Sharon was a woman of deep faith who tried to live her life of service to others modeled after her Lord Jesus Christ. She was a firm believer in the future resurrection and eternal life with God and His people.
Sharon will be remembered as a warm and caring soul who brought light to every room she entered. She was loved by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
