I think about you Savannah everyday when I open my teacher's closet to put my purse in. I have your beautiful picture hanging on my closet door. You were one of the most positive and empathetic students I have ever taught in 22 years.  Forever one of my favs :)  I'll never forget our talk at your senior breakfast.

Love you so much Savvy. Remember when we would get 99¢ sweet teas from Chicken X and listen to Miley Cyrus on the way to dance class? Now my daughter Milly and I do that together. I will never forget your contagious giggle belting out Wrecking Ball. You and Marina were some of my kids before kids… and I was still a kid myself. I’m so happy our lives included each other. You’ll always be special to me. I wish I had been there more for you as you became a young adult.

It's been two years since you gained your wings Savannah but I still see your beautiful smile shining bright! Your were such a wonderful young lady who had empathy for others and cared for so many. I still remember our last conversation at the senior breakfast. You were so proud to be a Longhorn - HOOK'EM. Always and forever one of my fav students Savy!!!!

Remembering Savannah with her sister and cousins Sophia & Taylor in my mother’s kitchen learning how to make flour tortillas. There was lots of chatter and giggling as the final product resulted in all sorts of shapes rather than round. Despite their playtime with the masa there were a couple of edible tortillas. Everyone had great family fun, especially Savannah with her infectious laugh as proof.
