The entire Nelson Family: I am deeply saddened to learn of the passing of Sandra. It was just last week that I called, leaving a message, not having any knowledge of her passing. I was stationed at Fairchild with her. Praying that with the passing of each day, you will be comforted, knowing that the Lord is with you.

I was so sad to hear about Sandra's passing. I send condolences on behalf of my mother, Mrs. Mary Jones, sister Deborah, and myself. I grew up with Sandra and her brothers, Dennis and Arthur at Trinity Baptist Church in Brooklyn, NY. We were all in Sunday School together. My father was the Sunday School Superintendent and their mother was one of the teachers. Sandra was a lovely girl who was warm, kind and caring towards everyone. I hope the family will be comforted by their cherished memories of Sandra. I pray that God will comfort and strengthen the family during their bereavement.

Sending our sincere condolences from the Raines family. So glad to have shared fun times with her at family gatherings over the years. Dear Nelson family I'm so very sorry for this devastating loss. Even though I had the pleasure of meeting Sandra only in once, we stayed in touch and I was really looking forward to seeing her again in a couple of months. She was a very nice pleasant person and I appreciated her friendship. Thoughts & prayers for you all as you get through this difficult circumstance.

My condolences to Sandra's family. I first met Sandra when she was living in Spokane, WA. I was introduced to Sandra by my mother, Ida Robinson. We then became friends of 30 plus years, Sandra was given the name Ava by my daughter who couldn't say her name when she was 2 yrs old. We enjoyed many activities together. We would attend the Gospel Service at Fairchild AFB and many activities with the African American club at Fairchild before moving. We still talked almost every weekend after. I'm so grateful we had many conversations while she was receiving medical care. She really enjoyed the evening meditations I would send to her. My family and I are praying for you all during your time of grief. I am so grateful God blessed me with a beautiful friend/sister. Our love, light and blessings to you all.

Sending sincere condolences to Dennis, Arthur and Kingsley and the rest of the family of Sandra. I grew up with Sandra in Trinity Baptist Church in Brooklyn, NY. Although I have not seen Sandra for many years, but I have seen pictures through her brother, Den̈nis. Over the years, one thing that have not changed, was her beautiful smile. Rest in Peace Sandra, you will be missed.

I feel blessed to have had a second sister in Sandra Hope Nelson. There are so many good memories shared together from taking her to Camp Fire Camp on Vashon Island with the girls to Mom’s Weekend @ WSU in Pullman, WA. A big hole in our hearts now that cannot be filled. She can rest now with the Lord Jesus. We love you sis!

Gary and I were blessed to know and spend time with Sandra. We will miss her warm & generous spirit, her kind heart and most of all, her beautiful smile. We extend our sincere condolences to her family. On a lighter note, we will also miss her world-famous macaroni & cheese and collard greens she always bought to the many dinners at Charlottes & Margarets home. She is gone too soon, and we will miss her terribly.

I grew up with Sandra Auther & Dennis on Lincoln Pl in BROOKLYN NY. I would play chess, spades & listen to music in the evening at their home. Sandra was always there with her big smile. That's what I will always remember about her that smile. I will miss you Sandrs. Jacob Dobbs.
