Rosalyn's obituary
Rosalyn grew up in Des Moines, WA, and was the eldest of 5 children. Helping raise her siblings, she created lasting childhood memories, presented them with gifts, and provided guidance by sharing her experiences.
Rosalyn graduated from Mount Rainier High School in 1996 where she maintained a prestigious academic standing. While in high school, Rosalyn met the love of her life, Jonathan, during the summertime Waterland Festival at the Des Moines Marina. Following graduation, she furthered her education at the University of Washington as a pre-med student. After her first quarter of university, Rosalyn had her first child, and continued her education. Ultimately, Rosalyn decided to focus on starting a family and established a career at the University of Washington.
Rosalyn married Jonathan in 2003 and their family grew from one child to two, then two to four. Rosalyn was patient, kind, caring, astute, and hard-working. Nothing less than a super-mom, she loved providing for her four children. Rosalyn especially loved Christmas and insisted on hosting the celebration at her home every-year. Her smile and happiness was almost contagious whilst being surrounded by her loving family; the sounds and sight of happy children left Rosalyn feeling fulfilled.
Rosalyn was a renowned planner and loved going on trips with her family. Her passions included photography, hiking, exploring new places and finishing the day with a well-earned glass of red wine. She lived each day to the fullest and encouraged others to share this sentiment.
Above all-else, Rosalyn’s selflessness was experienced by all who knew her. From her children to her siblings, her husband to her parents, even those outside of her family. Rosalyn never faltered being there when others needed her most and put others before her.
During the most difficult time of her life, Rosalyn was attended by her loving family twenty-four-hours, seven days a week; her selflessness was reciprocated by those she cared for once before. Rosalyn moved on to her next adventure on July 11, 2021.
She is survived by her husband, Jonathan, and her four children. Rosalyn is now reunited in spirit with her father, grandmother, and two of her beloved pets.
In lieu of flowers, friends and family are encouraged to donate blood to a hospital/center in-need.
Those willing may also donate monetary gifts to Rose’s family to help offset the costs of medical bills, funeral expenses, and help secure the future of her children.
