Ronald's obituary
Ronald George Simpson, 80, of Bend OR, passed away unexpectedly, but peacefully the week of November 20. He was born on June 5, 1943, in Long Beach CA to Pearl Simpson nee Pring and George Simpson.
A devoted husband, father, and grandfather. Ron was cherished by his family for his kindness, humor, wisdom, and unwavering love. He married the love of his life, Pamela Tolman Sullivan, and together they created a home filled with warmth and laughter.
Ron is also survived by his two stepsons Christopher and Patrick Sullivan and their loving wives Sarah Sullivan and Kasey Panhuise Sullivan, respectively. He took great joy in the bonds he shared with his stepsons and their families. Ronald George Simpson will be remembered as a loving stepfather who embraced the role with open arms and a generous heart.
His legacy lives on through his four adoring grandchildren: Titus, Theo, Allie, and Zoe. Ronald George Simpson took great delight in spending time with his grandchildren, watching movies, working on puzzles, and creating cherished memories that will be forever treasured.
Ron is also survived by his brother, Ken Simpson and many loving friends. Ron had a passion for golf and fly fishing and created his closest friendships while sharing in these activities. Ron was an active member at Broken Top Club, playing golf and engaging in numerous social activities. Ronald spent the twilight of his life on innumerable fly-fishing trips with those he held dear. During his professional career, Ron worked tirelessly for Safeco Insurance working on the most complex and serious claims.
A memorial service to celebrate Ronald George Simpson's life will be held on Saturday, January 27, 2023 at 61469 Tam McArthur Loop Bend Oregon at 1 pm. Family and friends are invited to join in remembrance and support during this difficult time.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made to the Bitterroot Water Partnership, a cause that was dear to Ronald George Simpson's heart.
Ronald George Simpson will be deeply missed, but his spirit will live on in the hearts of those who had the privilege of knowing him. May he rest in eternal peace.
