Bo's obituary
Robert "Bo" Thomas Marshall
September 13, 1974 – September 25, 2025
Robert "Bo" Thomas Marshall, 51, passed away on September 25, 2025, in Fenton, Missouri.
Bo was born on September 13, 1974, in Denver, Colorado, to Robert (Bob) Marshall and Dianne (Dahl) Marshall. He grew up in Maple Grove, Minnesota, with his mom and sister, surrounded by a large extended family and close childhood friends.
He spent his summers in Colorado with his dad, where he developed a lifelong love of the mountains. Bo went on to attend the University of Colorado–Boulder, where he embraced Colorado’s blue-sky days, skiing, Phish, and the outdoors. His time in Boulder brought him treasured friendships that sustained him throughout his life.
On June 5, 2004, Bo married Yolanda (Renken) Marshall. Together, they made their home in Denver and welcomed the greatest joys of his life—their three daughters: Elizabeth Marie, Alexandra Renee, and Catherine Anne. In 2015, the family relocated to Webster Groves, Missouri, where Bo continued his career in the life insurance industry.
Bo was a true sports fan, cheering faithfully for the Minnesota Twins, the Denver Broncos, and above all, the CU Buffs. He loved music, especially playing his guitar, being in nature, reading, exercising, traveling, and his faith. More than anything, he cherished time spent with his three girls.
He was preceded in death by his father, Robert Raymond Marshall Jr.; his maternal grandparents, Clarence and Ruth (Guthmiller) Dahl; and his paternal grandparents, Robert Raymond Marshall Sr. and Mary Elizabeth (Akin) Marshall.
Bo is survived by Yolanda and their daughters, Ellie, Alexa, and Katie of Webster Groves, MO; his mom, Dianne Marshall of Kirkwood, MO; his sister, Kristin Marshall of Littleton, CO; his stepsister, Jennifer Goodman of Carlsbad, CA; his aunts and uncles: Susan and John Ryan of Plymouth, MN; Cindy and Bob Balderson of Eden Prairie, MN; Barbara and Sheldon Williams of Reston, VA; and Margaret and David Rhyne of Sedalia, CO. He will also be deeply missed by his cousins, countless friends, and his beloved dogs, Wally and Louie.
To honor Bo’s memory, the family invites those who wish to do so to support his greatest legacy—his daughters—through contributions to their college savings plan at Ugift529.com (code 532-M2X).
A celebration of Bo’s life will be held on October 18, 2025, at 3:00 p.m. at the home of Margaret and David Rhyne, 901 Allis Ranch Road, Sedalia, Colorado.
