Robert "Bob" Roeland, 65, of Atlanta, GA, passed away on September 12, 2022.

Bob was born on August 24, 1957 to Herman & Gudrun Roeland in Washington, DC. After graduating from W.T. Woodson in Northern Virginia, he went on to study Chemical Engineering at Purdue University. Bob obtained a Masters in Business Administration from the University of South Carolina while working for Allied Signal corporation. During his tenure at Allied, Bob was awarded a patent for inventing scented carpet fiber. Bob’s family recalled that he smelled like a grape for weeks on end during the discovery process. In 1993, Bob had his first and only son, Jake. Bob was a kind and sweet soul, he loved sharing a laugh with people and always had something funny to say. His family & friends meant more to him than anything else in the world, something he often mentioned. He was so proud of Jake, and loved his brother John and parents Herman & Gudrun endlessly. Anyone who knew Bob knew that he was the most loving father, brother and friend anyone could ask for. He is survived by his brother John, his son Jake and many close friends he met over the years.
