You should plan to arrive at the cemetery via Memorial Avenue at 2:30 (directions below). You will be directed to a parking queue for Bob’s service. Due to the expected number of attendees, Arlington National Cemetery is encouraging you to carpool. You must be in a vehicle--do not Uber or Metro to the cemetery.

PLEASE NOTE: Arlington National Cemetery is implementing 100% ID checks at all entrances for attendees 16 and older.

At approximately 2:45, guards will direct the procession into the cemetery to the transfer point, where family will meet the caisson. You may park on either side of the road and get out of your cars to watch the transfer (leave room for emergency vehicles to pass through). After the transfer, the family will walk the ¼ mile to the gravesite behind the caisson. You should return to your car and follow behind, parking once the procession stops at the gravesite. If you wish to walk, you must have a driver for your car.
