Robert's obituary
Robert Chester Davis, 84, passed away on February 6, 2026, Pueblo CO
Robert “Bob” Davis, D.M.D. II, 84; a cherished member of the Beulah and Pueblo communities, passed away peacefully on February 6, 2026 surrounded by his family. Born on November 15, 1941 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania to the late Robert and Vera Davis of Cincinnati, Ohio and was preceded in death by his sister Gayle Wells.
Bob lived a life that reimagined all possibilities with a profound dedication. Early in life, Bob attended McNicholas High School and graduated early through the acceleration of his academic achievements. While completing his undergraduate degree at the University of Cincinnati, Bob began working night shifts at an industrial canning factory to pursue his dream of becoming a dentist. As the youngest student in his graduating class, he graduated with honors from the University of Louisville, School of Dentistry in 1967. Soon thereafter, his passion for nature, wildlife and big game hunting moved him to Colorado, where he began a journey that would result in a life lived fully and a life well-lived.
As a young dentist and throughout his career, he passionately served the Pueblo community from 1969 to 2019. Dr. Davis co-founded Pueblo’s Northside Dental Center, established in 1974, with the devotion and dedication of providing his patients with the most advanced and ethical standard of care. As an honored member and President of The Pueblo Dental Study Club, Dr. Davis remained actively involved in the dental industry developments, earning his MAGD in 1985 from the Academy of General Dentistry (AGD). In 1989, AGD recognized and granted him the Fellowship designation for demonstrating an exceptional interest in the advancement of the dental profession. Later in his career, Dr. Davis enjoyed traveling to Nicaragua with Operation Mercy Ministries to provide dental care to the remote populations of several underserved communities. Providing these professional services gave him the greatest honor and pleasure during his lifelong career as a dentist.
Bob’s life was largely characterized by his love for adventure and exploration; logging over 10K Instrument-Rated pilot hours of his single engine aircrafts over 45 years… flying to destinations as far south as the tropics of Costa Rica to the rivers and streams of the Alaskan peninsula.
As a member of the NRA and SCI communities, Bob was an avid big-game hunter and angler traveling all over the world to explore and connect with nature through his lifelong passion of hunting, since age 7. He proudly was the 672nd hunter to acquire The North American Grand Slam of Sheep. Over a lifetime of his hunting expeditions, Bob was awarded an Exotic World Record in 1994, and the 26th Boone and Crocket Club North America Big Game Award in 2004-2006. Bob blessed his family and friends with a jovial and uplifting spirit and was a man of many skills and many stories. Bob selflessly shared his diverse skillset and abilities with all; teaching and developing programs for the 4-H shooting sport community, the local Boy Scout chapter, and as an educator for mountain flying conditions to the pilots of the Rocky Mountain region. Bob generously offered a handyman helping hand to anyone in need; building, welding or fixing.
Bob was a proud husband, father and grandfather. He is survived by the love of his life and wife of just over a half a century, Cheryl; his son Brad and wife Atalie; his daughter Monica and her husband Steve, as well as his 3 grandchildren, Eastyn (17), Nora (7) and Cole (5). Bob is also survived by his younger brother, Glenn, and younger sister Chris Bradburn, as well as many cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.
Bob was truly a gentle soul with a very bright spirit and will be deeply missed by so many.
