Eileen - I had the pleasure of working with Rick for many years at Workday. He always was ready to jump in and assist with a smile on his face and a ton of patience.  We also bonded over our love of labradoodles often trading stories about Seamus and Montana.  May your memories bring you comfort in the days ahead.

Rick was our roomie in grad school.  I don't think anyone ever had a bad word to say about him.  Nice, smart, caring, hard-working... name the positive adjective and it surely applied.

It's weird what one remembers, whether it's the karaoke machine he had in his room or the poker games we played monthly or his insistence that Taco Bell hot sauce was optimal for removing gunk from a dirty penny (I won a bet as pure vinegar was better).

I am so sorry for your loss.  Rick was one of nature's really great human beings.

We once wrote a song with Rick in it called PCQ Blues:"In the morning, Outlook’s awry -- 3 runs, overnight -- None passed, obviously -- Rick Propp, (please) push it manually" and we will forever be grateful for "Rick's tasks", which we continue to use to this day. Most of all, I am thankful for the calmness and humor he brought to every interaction I had with him. It was an honor to have known him.

The Rick I remember from high school was very bright and I am so glad he was able to share his light and love with many people, a true success in my book, my condolences to Eileen and the family, may his memory bring you joy.
My deepest and sincere condolences to Ricks family!  I've met Rick 2 months after I joined Workday, and he was the Reference in my area... He taught more in 2h than anyone else...Infinite patience and kindness ! What an amazing human being! Thank You Rick for everything you done for us!
I grew up with Rick in Lakeland and remember playing him in a tennis tournament. So sorry to hear that he passed. Will be praying for you and the family.
So saddened to learn of Rick's passing. May Rick's memory be a blessing to all. He was such a sweetie. Kindest of hearts! Was wonderful to see how happy he became when he met you, Eileen. My thoughts are with you and Rick's full, extended family.  I'll give some thought to memories to share from graduate school days.  Life got busy and we fell out of touch but I have fond memories attending your wedding and Rick and Eileen attended mine.  I remember conversations I had with Rick when he first met Eileen and they started dating.  I believe I was part of the "vetting" process.  So happy you two found each other and so saddened that your time together wasn't so much longer.

Rick was a wonderful person and a huge part of Workday. He will be greatly missed and his legacy will be remembered for years to come. Wishing your family peace and courage during your mourning period.
Eileen, please accept my deepest condolences to you and the family. I'm so sorry for your loss. I'm fortunate enough to have the opportunity to work with Rick before, even though it was just a very short period of time. I was blown away by his humility, knowledge and willingness to help. I still remember that I've told him one time that he would be a great college professor if he never left the school. May you rest in peace Rick and your impact on us will last.

My condolences Eileen on the passing of your beloved partner.  May your memories sustain you in the days ahead.  Rick was an inspiring Workmate and will be greatly missed.
Eileen, your Rick was on my team when I first joined Workday. In fact, he did my technical interview! He was a brilliant,  kind, gentle person at work, always ready to lend a hand or provide insight into any issue. I loved working with him and am so very sorry to hear of your loss.
I am so sorry to hear about Rick's passing.  It is nice to hear these stories about where life took him, as I knew him all the way back at Duke.  He was a really good guy and it sounds like he had a wonderful life.
I knew Rick in college. He would make us laugh, and was very good natured. At some point, we got into a pattern of him creating poems while we were trying to go to sleep. We laughed really hard. He's at peace now.

As one of Rick’s friends from college, it has certainly been quite some time since we spoke.  However, my lasting memories of Rick were his unfailing enthusiasm at Duke and his kindness to everyone he met.  Perhaps it is overused, but I never heard him say a bad thing about anyone at any time.  I will miss you, Rick!

I am so sorry for your your loss.  Rick was a sensitive, brilliant, kind individual who I will always remember.  I looked forward everyday for our morning conversations, as Rick always had a smile on his face and something insightful to say, and I couldn't wait for Fridays to see which Hawaiian shirt he would wear.  May his memory  be a blessing.

From Cynthia Johnson: I also want to thank all of you who gave me Workday photos of Rick. I made him a scrapbook with the photos, printed out message from WoW feedback, email and CaringBridge, and the many awards and accolades he received at Workday. It meant so much to gift that special book to Rick.

From Marc Day:

So sorry to read this. You both fought courageously and admirably. Thank you for sharing all that you have and for taking such great care of my friend. I am sorry for your loss and wish you to be overwhelmed by great memories.

From Sandi Linden:

I’m so sorry, Eileen. Sending you all the love and prayers. Rick was a special person to many and I feel honored to have known him.
