Victoria's obituary
Princess Victoria Omotoke Bosede Akinrele
1956 – March 13, 2026
With deep sorrow and heartfelt gratitude for a remarkable life, we announce the passing of our beloved mother, Princess Victoria Omotoke Bosede Akinrele, who departed this life on March 13, 2026.
Born in Ilishan Remo, Ogun State, into a royal lineage, she was a proud Yoruba princess who carried her heritage with dignity, grace, and strength. She was a woman of deep character: loving, kind, understanding, and truly a warrior at heart, facing life with courage and resilience.
She was a devoted mother to her daughters and son, and a cherished grandmother whose love knew no bounds. Her family was the centre of her life, and she nurtured them with wisdom, care, and unwavering support.
Princess Victoria embraced both her rich Yoruba traditions and her strong Christian faith. As a baptised Anglican, she lived a life grounded in faith, service, and compassion, touching many lives through her kindness and generosity.
She dedicated many years of her life to public service and community development. Through her hard work, commitment, and excellence, she rose to retire honourably as an Assistant Director with the NYSC in Lagos, Nigeria. Her contributions left a lasting impact on her colleagues, community, and the many lives she influenced.
She will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing her. Her legacy of love, strength, service, faith, and royal dignity will continue to live on in the hearts of those she leaves behind.
Sun re o, Mama. May your noble and gentle soul rest in perfect peace.
