Peter's obituary
Beloved Father of Michael (Sesil) Cucuz and Dina (Brian) VanArsdale. Adoring Grandfather to Wyatt VanArsdale, Cyrus Cucuz, Claire VanArsdale, Aleksandar Cucuz, and Selina Cucuz. Devoted brother to Ranko (Velinka) Cucuz, Milka (+Eleazar) Sollano, and Slavojka (David) Sheehan. Dear Uncle to Mark, Tom, Tanja, David & Natalie. Nephew of Stevo Dobrijevic. Loved during his life by Mara Cucuz and Judy Unruh.
Peter was an amazing father to his two children and the best Deda to all of his grandchildren. He considered them the greatest joy of his life. He was a lifelong fan of all Chicago sports, especially his beloved Chicago White Sox. Peter’s legacy exists in the many friends and loved ones that he leaves behind. His loving smile, quick wit and eternal kindness brought much laughter and love to so many over the years. A fierce protector of the “little guy,” there is nothing that Peter wouldn’t do to help someone in need.
Peter was a proud son of Gary, Indiana and a graduate of Horace Mann High School. He earned his Bachelor of Science Degree in Safety Management from Indiana State University, after which he secured a position with the federal government’s Occupational, Safety, and Health Administration. Later in his career, Peter founded his own company that designed OSHA approved safety protocols and OSHA certified training. He remained close to his high school and college friends throughout his life.
He will be greatly missed by his large extended family, kumovi, fiercely loyal confidants and so many others that were touched by him.
