Patrick's obituary

Patrick Francis Xavier Colin, passed peacefully at home in Woodland, Ca on January 19, 2025. The family is deeply saddened and shocked by his sudden death. Born on November 25, 1956 in New York to his late parents Edward and Ellen, Patrick lived a fulfilling life, marked by love, loyalty, tremendous determination and generosity.

Patrick and Trudy were married in Saratoga, California and celebrated 41 years this past August. Later they spent several years in Tracy and ultimately raised their children in Woodland for the past 33 years. Together, they participated in many organizations in the community. He was a devoted husband and enjoyed teasing and making Trudy laugh daily.

Pat was more than just a father to his two children, as children he was their coach and idol. In adulthood Pat was their best friend, mentor and coworker. He focused on teaching them the value of hard work, maintaining relationships and that family is more than just blood relatives. He passed down his love of grilling, produce and football to his son Pat and together they remained 49er faithful. Kelly is the epitome of daddy's girl, Pat was the one she could always count on, she still would call to check in when she got home at night and they laughed daily on their phone calls. Being a papa to MacKenzie and Braeden brought him great joy, he loved attending all of their activities and he dreamed of the day they would join the business. His voice and smile will be missed in every aspect of all their lives.

Patrick found the love of sales originally in the lumber business back in New York and later joined his brother Tim in the produce industry in 1986.  Well known for his way with words and his early morning phone calls he valued relationships above all and truly found enjoyment in what he did especially these last ten years working alongside his children and best friends.

Recently celebrating 16 years of sobriety Pat made friends and inspired others to find God and fight through hard times. You could find Pat reading his daily devotional, Jesus Calling by Sarah Young.

Pat is survived by his wife, Trudy.  Daughter, Kelly, (son-in-law Greg), their children MacKenzie, Braeden. Son Patrick (PJ), (daughter-in-law Julia). Patrick also leaves behind brothers, Tim and Kevin, an adopted daughter,  her three children and four great grandchildren.
