Personal note from Patrick "Phenry" Ewing

After many years of wondering where the VHS tape had run off to, we were surprised to discover an online copy of Pat's TV program "Jill and Jack / Fiction and Fact" which she hosted and wrote, and for which she won her Emmy! Co-educational phys ed. was an exciting (and scary, to some) experiment in the NY public schools in 1977, when she produced it.

It's bittersweet to see Mom as we all remember her— brilliant, funny, incisive— from well before I was born. Enjoy it here: https://kaltura.uga.edu/media…

Updates

Update from Nov. 3, 2025

I hope this small update to Mom's website finds you well. I just wanted to say a belated thank you, on behalf of the entire Sullivan-Ewing family, to everyone— for making it out to the funeral to those who were able, to everyone who donated to Alzheimer's research in Mom's memory, and to all her friends and loved ones near and far for sharing their prayers, memories and condolences. You were dear to Mom and it meant the world to us to celebrate and remember her with you all.

I've added a couple of photographs of the altar at her funeral for those unable to make it. If you are ever in Brooklyn and want to visit her final resting place, you'll find her at the historic Greenwood Cemetery in the "Tranquility Garden" section— it's an indoor location amongst a serene and beautiful array of koi ponds and gardens... a wonderful place to spend some time in recollection and contemplation.

If there's anything else you'd like me to add to this website (it is meant to stay up permanently) or anything else I can do to help you in remembering Mom, please don't hesitate to reach out.

With love, Phenry
