Patricia Ann (Pat) DeRemer died peacefully in Kenosha, Wisconsin on April 4, 2023 at Hospice Alliance where she was lovingly surrounded by loved ones up until her death from metastatic cancer. Pat was a tremendous older sister and dear friend to her four younger sisters and brothers. She leaves behind Kathleen de Stadler (Bronson), Mary DeRemer (Mihai Cirnu), and William DeRemer (Susan Beth). She was predeceased by her parents Virginia (Dowd) DeRemer and William DeRemer and her brother, Thomas DeRemer. She was the soul mate of Robert Smith who brought great comfort and joy to her life.

Pat grew up in Derry, New Hampshire. She loved family, home, reading and learning. She had a calm, thoughtful demeanor and was an amazing listener who was genuinely interested in others. Pat was highly intelligent, very modest, independent and open to adventure. She will be remembered for her amazing generosity. Pat loved her frequent visits back to New England and was very fond of the Maine and New Hampshire coast and fresh seafood. She was a loyal fan of New England sports teams throughout her life.

Pat graduated from the University of New Hampshire and earned her master’s degree at Boston College. She had a very meaningful and successful career as a school counsellor in Littleton, New Hampshire (five years) and at Reuther High School in Kenosha, Wisconsin (32 years). Pat was born a gifted therapist and her student clients loved her for her warmth, sincerity, and caring nature.

She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her including her many nieces and nephews, cousins, and lifelong friends. She lives on in our hearts, countless great stories and cherished memories.

The family would like to express their deep gratitude to the dedicated staff at Aurora Hospital and Hospice Alliance in Kenosha. Special thanks are extended to Dr. Ahmed Waseem MD for his excellent care and his great sense of humanity.
