We interviewed Paige-I remember the secret glances between us while she was answering our questions. If I remember right, I think it was Angel, Jackie and Nastassia who were there with me. We were in the big conference room at the southeast corner of Building B upstairs at ArcherDX, and we asked Paige to sit tight for a minute. We went bounding out of the room to find Sarah, and we said, "We found her. Let's hire her now!" Sarah's mouth was full of potato chips or some other snacks because she didn't expect us to be finished so quickly. Sarah had to hurry because it was her turn to talk with Paige and we had ended our part early. Later, Paige told us that she had been worried that she wasn't going to get the job because we didn't talk to her for the full scheduled time. But it was the opposite. We knew she would be the best. And she was. Karen took Paige under her wing, and we all worked together, the happiest, most joyful HR team on the face of the earth. 

After we scattered to the four winds, Paige and I kept in touch. We would meet for coffee at Caribou in Westminster because it was in between us. We chatted about all kinds of things HR-career, how to handle A-Z thing that was complicated (as matters in HR often are). The second I had a role open, she was the first one I called, and I couldn't believe our luck when she joined us at Foresight. She was growing by leaps and bounds, and I tried to pour out everything I know how to do, whatever I could give her, and she never shied away from a challenge. I trusted her judgment, her talent and her heart. She gave us so much in the short time she was here.  She truly was the best. 

I also had a peek into the deep love and closeness Paige had with her family. It was clear to all who knew her how important her family members were in her life.
