The day Mr Niiben took my son…
2010, Manassas, VA, USA
The day Mr Niiben took my son on his first fly. — with My son Alex

My deepest condolences!!!!

My neighbor took me flying the other day and put him on my mind. I still had his number in my phone so I texted him today. I did an internet search and found this site. He was a great man and a good friend!

Yesterday was such a beautiful celebration of your life that you shared with your beautiful family and friends . NiiBen you’re a miss so much not just today but every day since you’ve been gone. Can’t pick up the phone and call you. I can’t hear you say talk to me little sis. I can’t meet you for lunch. I can’t have you just pop in at the house anymore. And I miss every single thing about all of that and more. I know it’s you flying over the house every night usually at the same time. I will see you in the skies.😢❤️ love you so
Nii … today is the anniversary of the day that the many souls you touched and loved will always remember as the day you made your last flight in this life. Every time I look to the sky I think of you and I look at the sky a lot. That is what originally connected us as brothers. You left a bounty of happy memories and life lessons for your family and every soul you touched. Until we meet again in joy and big hugs. I will always remember everytime I look at the sky.

It has been a year since I lost my beloved NiiBen and Cindy lost her beloved John. Faith, family and friends have carried us forward.

Thank you for sharing with my family and supporting our healing journey, which has blessed our family more than words can say.

We are filled with gratitude to know how NiiBen touched the hearts of so many. He lived a full life. He lived intentionally. My beloved NiiBen is a life force that will remain with us always. ❤️

NiiBen was a unique individual with the most impressive personality (humorous, patriotic , trustworthy, crafty and resourceful. I was honored to work alongside him and witness his extraordinary skills in action. I could always count on my dear friend to maim any roadblocks in the way of our intended course, which all too often was not what the “Big Boss” wanted. The road we traveled together was based on a an enduring and mutually respectful friendship and of course devious shared ideas.

My dear friend NiiBen,  Yesterday would have been your birthday.  You know you are loved and thought of by many everyday.   I and those you loved frequently feel your presence around them. Especially when they look at the sky or the horizon,   I had a specially strong experience looking out of an airliner flying through the clouds descending from 34,000 feet on approach to Washington Dulles.  I pray for the day we meet again with your calming beaming smile and comforting hug.  I am certain you will never forget how much you are loved by your family and friends. And you will always be felt and remembered in our hearts. Happy Birthday my dear brother of another mother.  Love you ...

I'm deeply shocked and saddened by the loss of our friend. I still cherish the memories of our flight together, and it's hard to believe that you are not between us.

My heartfelt condolences during this difficult time to his family and friends.
