Monica's obituary
Monica “Bocky” Bell went home to be with the Lord on December 16, 2025, at the age of 70.
Monica was born on June 7, 1955, in St. Louis, Missouri, to Gerald Bell and Juanita Bell. From the very beginning, Monica had a strong spirit and a presence you could not ignore. She graduated from McKinley High School in 1973 and later pursued higher education earning professional certifications.
Although Monica never married, she lived a rich and full life surrounded by countless friends and extended family who loved her deeply. Her nieces and nephews held a special place in her heart. Many of them lived with her during their high school years, where she supported, guided, and encouraged them to finish strong. To many, Monica was more than a friend and aunt. She was a second mother, mentor, and constant source of love.
Monica devoted over 39 years of her life to church ministry. True Redemption Center, is where she faithfully served as a minister and elder. She managed the Upper Room and walked alongside countless individuals as they sought to be filled with the Holy Spirit. Her service, leadership, and obedience to God left a lasting mark on the church and the many lives she touched. True Redemption Center remains a living reflection of her life’s work and calling.
Outside of ministry, Monica was a woman of many talents. She worked as an apartment administrator, practiced as a beautician, and served others as a tax consultant. No matter the role, she approached her work with care, dedication, and integrity.
Monica will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. Her legacy was one of service, faith, and love. She leaves behind two sisters, three brothers, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and close friends.
Services will be held at True Redemption Center on January 3, 2026. See events page for more information.
