It is with great sadness that I heard about the passing of my retired dentist, Dr. Potts. He was not only a skilled professional but also a kind, happy, Friendly and compassionate person who cared deeply for his patients. We all be missed.😞

My heartfelt 🙏condolences go out to his wife and the entire family during this difficult time. Please know that my thoughts and prayers are with you as you grieve this great loss. May his soul rest in peace, and may you find comfort in the love and support of those around you 🙏💐

When I moved to Camarillo with my young family in 1989, I was in search of new doctors and a dentist I could trust.  I interviewed a few and chose Dr. Potts, as his Alma mater, Loma Linda was near my hometown.  He remained my dentist for the next 33 years and has treated my daughters and grandchildren!  We continue to see his son Derek and will do so for the remainder of our days.  We are so grateful to have a dental family like you in our community!  Our condolences go out to Suzie, our hygienist, and the Potts family.  Dr. Potts left a legacy for all to follow.  He was quite a man!

My family have been Dr. Potts' patients since he opened up his 1st practice.  My daughters Aimee and Megan loved him.  I will never forget the time many years ago when my daughter Megan was in a terrible car accident that took out all of her front teeth shortly after her orthodontic treatment.  We called him the next day (a Saturday)  he rushed to his closed office with her orthodontist to check out her injuries.  A severely bruised / injured teenager met with him, his huge arms cradling her as she sobbed.  He made it "all better".  We all appreciated him so much.  Much love  to all of his family from the Miller, Becerra and Schutt families
We are sorry to hear that Dr. Michael Potts passed away.  He was someone that was well liked and loved.  He will be missed.
Dr. Potts was by far the kindest, humblest man I’ve ever met. He was an example to us all of a truly Godly man. I am so sad for his family and everyone who knew him but I am so happy that he is now in heaven!
I'm so sorry to hear of the passing of doctor Potts. My condolences to his family and friends. May he rest in peace.
My heart goes out to the whole family. I knew Michael for more than 40 years. We started going to his office when my late husband Ron and I first moved to Camarillo in 1981. Our two children, now adults with kids of their own, went to him from childhood until college. Even right  after college when our daughter couldn’t afford to go to the dentist Michael gave her a check up and cleaning for free. He was that kind of person.  I was a patient but he had a way of making you feel like family. May his memory always be a blessing.
You will be missed. Many of my family members from my mom to my grandkids have had the pleasure of seeing our favorite person/ dentist thank you so much for your love and compassion. And as for me you took my fear away . I was always scared but Dr you always made sure I was comfortable. I thank you for that forever. Little things are big things . Changed my outlook on dentists forever. ❤️❤️
My condolences to the entire family and gratitude to Dr. Potts, and his practice team, for serving veterans and first responders. I met Dr. Potts during a veteran/first responder day that encompassed free services, and I remain grateful to this day for his extreme generosity to these communities. As a veteran, and paramedic, I still hit an extremely difficult time financially after a spinal injury. It was at this time the Oxnard College veteran services representative sent me a flyer about Dr. Potts's services coming up on a special day. I absolutely needed to receive at least a basic checkup, so I attended his service day. I felt personally very ashamed for needing a free service, but his staff was energetic, warm and put me at ease. His office provided all appropriate screening, then Dr. Potts came in to communicate that I had a couple of cavities that would need work. My heart sank, because I knew I would not be able to afford to connect with care afterwards. I repeated back to him his findings, and confirmed I would need to let a dentist know as soon as possible. I will never forget Dr. Potts, his smile and tone, patting my shoulder telling me no, I wasn't going to have to go somewhere else, that they would take care of it at that time and for free. I don't normally tear up, but Lord I cried. It still moves me to this day. Truly. Truly. Dr. Potts met such a need with warmth, kindness and dedication. I left moved by this man - a person who walked the walk of community care. And his staff. Thank you to the Dr. Potts family for sharing this gem as long as you have. It meant a single mom out here was bridged to better days.
My heart is heavy and sad when I heard of Dr. Sr. Potts passing. He was my very 1st dentist and our family was one of his very 1st patients when he just opened his practice. I was really young and I just remember seeing a very tall man...of course he scared me. But the minute I was in his care he had such a gentle touch. I have so many memorable stories of every time I went to his office for tx. He left a legacy behind through his 2 sons. He will be forever missed. 💙  My thoughts and prayers go out to all his family.

My condolences to the Potts family. Dr. Potts really did make me feel like I was the most important person In the room. He was the only one to take me in on an emergency and i will be forever grateful to him♡

I absolutely love all the pictures!

My sincere condolences.  Dr. Potts was a kind and gentle man who will be remembered with affection and respect.
I was a patient of Dr. Potts and then his son. Potts Dental is a wonderful practice in every way. It's so sad to lose Dr. Potts, he was a great dentist and so cheerful and friendly. My thoughts are with his wife and family.
My condolences to the family and friends of Dr Potts. He was more than a dentist to me. His caring and friendship was always present on our interactions. He is missed.

Dan and I were saddened to learn of Mike's death. I knew Mike at Lynwood Academy in 60s. He played with a brass group started at Loma Linda Univ , I think while he was still at La Sierra, then continued as a dental student. My husband, Dan, while a dental student and for a short time after that was in the LL brass group. I listened and watched many practices and performances through those years.

Much later we returned from Shasta County to teach at Loma Linda, I was always glad to see Mike's smile and have a chat with him on clinic between sessions. Since my retirement, I have missed seeing him, though I enjoyed a few short visits. Dan always enjoyed seeing and talking with Mike. He was a great man.

Bill and I are so glad we got to share some hymns with him and Susie near the end of his life (though we didn't know his passing was so near). His love for children showed that day, as he wrapped his feet around little Juliette to trap her for a moment, and made us all laugh. It breaks my heart to loose such a special friend.

The best of the best.  Mike was tops at everything he attempted, scholarship, vocation, music, athletics.  And yet he was one of the kindest, caring, friendliest, fun people I've known.  A rare combination and a rare human being.  Patti and I send our thoughts and prayers to Susie and the rest of his family and all those who know the world has lost a great individual.

I met Mike at my Wedding in 1972. He was on a date with my Sister Susie.  What a wonderful Guy!

Mike became my brother in law in 1975.  My husband and I went on ski vacations in Colorado and Tahoe with Mike and Susie. We shared holidays together.  He was such fun.

Mike was the best;  Husband, father, dentist, teacher, and church elder….. the list could go on.  We will miss him, but the memories will be with us to comfort and bring peace.

Mike was my friend (and dentist) for about 45 years. I am so sad that he is gone, I miss him. Love and prayers for Susie, and Zac and Derek and their families.
