I'm very blessed to have known him. After Dr Sanders passed he picked me up as a patient. I met him working at the hospital and, he always would be observing my teeth as I was checking him in. to be honest with you it always made me a little nervous. Condolences to Susie and all of the family. He will be greatly missed but, he's in good hands.

My memories of Mike are all about fun. Whether it was being thrown into the South Hall Girl's Dorm, at 10PM, my hands tied behind my back, wearing boxers. Or being thrown into the Palms Apartments swimming pool after announcing my engagement, playing flag football with Mike or being thrust out of the key playing basketball by Mike's hind end, a lot to laugh about and as John Blount said, Mike was exceptional at everything he pursued, and rapidly went to the top in his profession, music, church, friends and family.

We love this man. He was first our friend, then he became our dentist, and lastly he was a matchmaker introducing his son to our daughter. He was always so proud of this! Family. We will never forget you Michael Potts and we will love you forever!

1995, Camarillo Church Seminar with Pastor Liverstage
I was new at the church and a new Christian. I had lost my husband, who was an Adventist and I was learning what he knew about God and wanted to know his God. Pastor Liverstage was conducting the seminar in the Fireside Room over Friday through Sunday and Michael was at my table, which several of us paired to look up scriptures and provide their testimonies with the table group. Michael was instrumental in helping me learn to get answers from the Word and helped me to know more about the beliefs of SDA belief system. At the time it was 27 beliefs. We all studied over those 3 evenings/days and he helped me learn so much about our heavenly Father.
Since that time, he has been a wonder friend, both Susie and Michael. He also became my dentist so I knew him both professionally as well as a brother in Christ. I will miss his sweet smile and friendly greeting each week at church and look forward seeing him when we are all called to our heavenly home.

I'm Brad Harrah, Owner of Ventura County Dental Equipment,
My condolences to the Potts family!
The community has lost a great Dentist and Friend to all who knew him. I had the pleasure of repairing his Dental Equipment, when needed, since 1987. It was always nice to see Dr and get his equipment up and working again! He always had a smile and and appreciated my service! He was definitely one of the good ones and will truly be missed!

My condolences to Michael's family.
I met Michael in the first days of gross anatomy in a hot room bent over a cadaver. Four years of intense study along with intervals of comic relief . Few contacts over the years that followed, but always genuine joy to meet each time.
Good to know that we will “reunion” again with a Friend we both love!

Everyday my children and I are sending up our sincerest prayers during worship for the family at this difficult time. God is able, and only He can make this bearable for them. May His peace and steadfast love be felt by them as we all look forward to that great reunion.

When my family moved, I entered 3rd grade at Long Beach SDA Elementary, there was this big kid in second grade named Mike Potts. What great guy to know. I thought his Dad was the coolest guy, a dentist, who had a new Corvette. He was still same nice guy I knew as a kid when we met up again in dental school. As we shared careers in dentistry, whenever we crossed paths at reunions and continuing ed classes, we always shared stories and compared notes on family and friends. There is now a void in our shared lives, but a there will always be warm memories and great appreciation for the privilege of knowing such a good guy. It won’t be long Mike when we meet up again. Much love and prayers for his family for courage in this sad time. ❤️🙏

I have been a client of Dr. Michael Potts since the 1980s. I had just moved to Camarillo and was looking for a dentist. He was the very best. A gentle, caring, and compassionate man. God bless him and his family. My condolences on your loss.

Dr. Potts was such a good man. He lit up the office and always had a smile! :) He will be missed by so many whose lives he has touched, and I am blessed to have been his patient for so many years. Our good Lord has called him home, as there is work to be done in heaven.

Mike and I had an opportunity to serve on the Santa Barbara-Ventura County Dental Society Board of Directors years ago. He was a colleague and friend and a great leader. He was a gentleman in everything he did. He will be missed in the dental community. RIP, dear friend.
