So sorry to just hear of the lost of your wonderful father. My parents so loved all the bridge events with the bridge group as well as the Grand Canyon adventure and so many other memorial events over the many many years. All the Eldred's loved your dad (and mom) as they were the 'salt of the earth friends'. Hugs to all of you.

During a holiday visit to our family on the East Coast, I got to wake up to a “White Christmas” morning for the first and only time in my life with my cousins Mike, Jim, and Shari, and their parents Uncle Max and Aunt Carolyn, and their wonderful black lab. In 1982, Uncle Max and Aunt Carolyn took me up flying in their plane. They even turned the engine off and glided for a while! In 2008, Evelyn and I stayed with the Hopkins during the biennial Griffin family reunion. Uncle Max was surprised that he was still alive at 75! In 2018, at my sister Kathy’s funeral reception, he said to me, “I wonder who will be the next one to die.” I loved my Uncle Max, always there and always engaged.
