People sometimes tell me that I am too postitive about the world. "Don't you know how horrid people are?" But, I knew Mary. I know that love is the key to peace and acceptance in the world, to seeing people for who they are, not what they "do" or how they look or if they are the same as me. I have experienced how loving the world can be because I knew Mary. And I am blessed becaused I knew her.

Her children arise and call her blessed; her husband also, and he praises her:
“Many women do noble things, but you surpass them all.” Proverbs 31:28-29
Family,
Much like many of us it was quite the shock to hear of Mary's passing. Words weren't enough to express the sadness that is felt. There are fond memories of Mary from over the years that I will forever cherish, particularly of her thoughtfulness in her giving be it something that she took the time to make herself, or from places she’s visited, or a specialty shop and/or fairs that she may have visited wherein she would send trinkets of different sorts to her sisters-in-law, and even her thoughtfulness in remembering certain milestones or celebrations of nieces and nephews. She was just that kind of a person, expressing her love. I will miss the chats we had, and the joy we shared about our grandchildren.
June, Sarah, and Anna, Doug and I extend our deepest condolences. And know that the legacy of your mother will last a lifetime because of the lives she’s touched and have changed due to her selfless dedication for others, and all that she has taught you, and poured into your lives – she will forever live.
My dear brother June, your love for Mary was and will always be one to appreciate. May the memories you have bring smiles, laughter, and joy of the wonderful and amazing life you lived and loved together. I love you!
Our prayers for comfort, God’s strength, and His love be with you during this time.
Love,
Renée and Doug

I have always admired aunt Mary and uncle June’s love for each and their family. As a young boy growing up I loved talking with aunt Mary on the phone and in person just to hear her beautiful accent. When I was in high school studying fashion design, she asked me to make a coat for Sara which I was so excited to do and so nervous because I didn’t wanna mess it up. Aunt Mary has been a great in-law to uncle June’s siblings and I'm sure a blessing to everyone she met.
We all love and will miss this beautiful soft spoken woman with the kind soul!
Love you aunt Mary.

Aunty Mary was a strong woman who I got to know more as she visited UK to see dad and family after she retired. I will never forget how supportive and kind she was to me when I adopted my son. We used to email regularly and we had interesting conversations. Uncle Bill and Aunty Mary were soul mates and that was so evident. They were great together. She loved her family and her grandchildren brought her so much happiness. I am going to miss herXX

I was fortunate to meet Mary and Bill in Dora's exercise class at North Boulder Rec Center. What a kind and tender couple — such a good model for us all! I especially enjoyed Mary's warmth and quiet sense of humor. You must miss her so much!
