We are all so lucky to have been able to be touched by Maria's wholehearted love and care, she is the definition of altruism. She was such a light, even in her moments of pain. Maria is strong, multi-talented, smart, funny, kind, and beautiful all around. She excelled in the things she put time and energy into. She made sure everyone around her was taken care of. Some of my favorite memories and happiest days in life were spent with her. I feel immense pride in being able to call her a best friend and a long-lost sister. She showed me what a true example of a good person was through her actions, words, and heart.

Jennifer, Wooj, and Nina- I send you all my love and condolences. Thank you for bringing such a wonderful human being into this world, the impact she made in 24 years will last lifetimes. I will carry her spirit with me forever. I love you Maria!
