Background
To honor Maria’s lifelong commitment to learning and her belief that a university education should be free and accessible to all, her family and loved ones are working with Bradley University to support a scholarship in her memory. Maria held three degrees from Bradley and spent 35 years teaching English at Richwoods High School in Peoria, Illinois. The scholarship will benefit a student from the Peoria area pursuing their education at Bradley—a place that helped shape Maria’s life and to which she gave so much.
