Margie's obituary
Margie Morgan of Dripping Springs, TX, peacefully passed away on April 1 surrounded by loved ones.
Margie was born on September 12, 1940, to Maurice and Ezola Trahan in Duson, Louisiana. After Margie graduated from Eunice High School in 1958, she began work as a receptionist for Circle Drilling, eventually moving to Lake Charles, Louisiana, and later, Houston, Texas with promotions. Year after year Margie tenaciously climbed the corporate ladder, eventually serving as Diamond Offshore's Assistant Treasurer, having worked with the same company for a remarkable 54 years.
Margie enjoyed what she did for a living, and loved supporting and telling everyone about her children and grandchildren. Although her career transported her to Texas, her heart belonged to southern Louisiana. She cherished her roots and upbringing, often had a cajun joke or story to share, and never quite got over her continual "envie" (longing for) crawfish and boudin.
Margie was predeceased by her parents and sister, Adeleine Vidrine. She is survived by her son, Mitchell Morgan, and wife, Deana of Grapevine, Texas; daughter, Terri Williams, and husband, Robert of Dripping Springs, Texas; granddaughter Sabrina Osborn and husband, Luke Osborn and granddaughter McKenzie Morgan; grandson Aidan Williams and wife, Lauren Williams and grandson Duncan Williams
In accordance with her wishes, we are planning a Margie-styled celebration of life gathering instead of a traditional funeral. Details will be coming soon. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to Samaritan's Purse or any charity of your choosing.
