It's so hard to grasp and deal with the loss of someone who is so bigger than life. Chuni-ye touched all of us in a very special way.
I have known Chuni for over 25 years. In all the years I have known Chuni I don't remember a single moment without a smile on her face. She was just a super positive person and a delight to have company.
Chuni for me was a cheerful, motivator and full of energy I would like to hang out with all the time. She was always in a " Lets do it" attitude. I always looked forward to seeing her in our social gatherings.
As time went by the social gathering cooled down and I did not see her as much as I would like to but as a good old friend I think of her a lot of times, and the first thing that comes to mind is always her wittyness putting a smile on my face.
Chuni me'chis showed us what strength and devotion is all about when she started going through her last life journey. She handled it like a shero, she gave me and all of us a big lesson on how to deal with life challenges big or small. All I can say now is I thank God and Gash Girma/ Etye Mulu for raising such a beautiful person with a beautiful soul. We got a chance to have her in our lives and got to know her and now cherish the time we had with her.
For the last couple of days I have noticed how strong her family is ( as they say "an apple doesn't fall far from its tree"), the situation has turned and we are getting encouragement from her family 😊 . We see the strength in Gash Girma, Etye Mulu, Debbi, Liku and Yonathan and hope they continue to be strong and God protects them.
I wish all the strength to all her friends who have been through thick and thin with her.
MAY GOD BLESS Chuni-ye's Soul.
Love you all.

I just want to offer my condolences to the family of Mahlet and all who had the privilege of knowing and loving her. The words “wonderful person” can be way overused, but it truly applied to Mahlet. Mahlet and I dated for a couple of years while we were attending Loma Linda University and were very close during this time. Though we ultimately went our separate ways, her angelic spirit and passion for helping others truly left an indelible impression on my life. We were able to reconnect, catch up, share some memories and laughs over the past few months before her passing. For this I am eternally grateful. Ultimately, I hope this message conveys and further testifies that her life has touched people all over the country and world. Like many, I miss her already. I’ll never ever ever forget Mahlet and she’ll live on in my heart forever. May God continue to provide comfort to her family and close friends during this time of grief.
Hello to Debbie, Jonathan, Mom, and Dad.
With Love,
