In Memoriam of Mahlet Girma

You fought the battle until the final curtain

You knew the struggle was over and the end certain

You held on to your belief with lack of fear for death

You held on to your love of God until the final breath

You spoke of His love not your own pain

You gave Him thanks and you knew there was no life to gain

Speaking of love but not the condition you disdain

You were brave until the end you showed your strength

We heard your message within your shallow breath

Your face showed the acceptance of your circumstance

You knew you fought the battle you went the distance

No discernible fear no tears to shed

You spoke with bravery and courage from your hospital bed

You left us all with a great message about faith and love

Never worried about yourself and the condition you have

You were a beautiful soul with angelic presence

A woman of courage a lady of essence

Your body may have been weary but your soul was unfeathered

We heard your message clear with the energy you mustered

May the angels of heaven carry you to your resting place

You’ve left to be with the Creator, the One you embrace

The earthly suffering is over while you occupy a heavenly space
