Luella Lewis (née Reed) was born July 05, 1928 in Leland, Mississippi to the late Bishop Reed and Lillian Collins. Luella was the last surviving child out of 10 children born to this union.

When Luella was a preteen, she moved to Detroit and caught the eye of Marcus Lewis. Marcus was smitten with his new neighbor and in time he won her heart. Marcus and Luella were married on November 1, 1947. From this …
