Linda's obituary
It is with deep sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Linda Painter, who left us on the 4th of March, 2024. Born on the 27th of November, 1945, she was raised in Culver City and Woodland Hills, California. She graduated from Taft High School, in Woodland Hills, where she enjoyed her studies and fun with friends. Linda worked to put herself through college, earning a BA in Sociology, a MA in Folklore, from UCLA, and a teaching credential which served her well over her 27 years of service to elementary school students. While teaching, Linda added several wonderful friends to the friends she cherished her entire life
Linda was intelligent, original, adventure seeking, and loved to share her adventures with friends and family. She leaves behind her beloved brother, James Painter, and sister in law, Carol Painter, and many nieces and nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews, and even one great grandnephew, all who loved her uniqueness and appreciated her generosity to all. She was predeceased by her parents, Genevieve and Walter Painter, who she always remembered with love.
A memorial service to honor and celebrate Linda's life will be held on the 13th of April, 2024, at 11:00 AM at the Todd Memorial Chapel. Our family appreciates each of you. Please feel free to share photos and memories on this site.
