Laurie — I miss you deeply and can hardly imagine life without my beloved cousin.
Growing up together like sisters in the same house at Lake Constance and later sharing wonderful years in Berlin, we created countless memories — laughing endlessly, listening to old-fashioned songs, and speaking in our own funny accents.
You were full of warmth, humour, and positivity, even in difficult times. I admired and loved you deeply, and your absence leaves a great void. You will never be forgotten.

I had the priviledge to work with Laurie at Mars. I recruited her in my team and she became one of my peers several years afterwards. She was a brilliant leader and embraced every challenge in her carreer. She humbled us when she faced cancer and changed her lifestyle. I remember Laurie in New York, organizing a team diner in a Vegan restaurant with 3 meat lover guys: Jamie, Joe and myself and trying to convince us this was the best ever diner. I also remember the many times we delivered the award for the best Flywheel diagnostics  and especially the unexpected alliance of me dressed in a Dog and Laurie, dressed like Prime Minister Thatcher, and speaking like her.
I learned about Laurence’s passing from a dear friend. At first, I did not remember, who he spoke about, then everything started to come up to light. Laurence definitely was everything already mentioned in those memories: intelligent, witty, curious and pleasant, however what came very strongly in few connections I had with her, was the real interest in other human being, it resonated strongly. Alex, my sincere condolences, let your spirit stay strong during this horribly difficult time. Jacek
My condolences to Laurie's family. I first met Laurie when when we worked together at Mars in Waltham UK, although she wasn't my manager she always was so happy to help and support any way she could, she supported me with my aspirations.  She was a lot of fun and so creative, I was so sad to hear of her passing

Laurence was an inspiring colleague who I worked with in Mars CMI for many years eventually as team mates on the global leadership team.  Sorry I can’t seem to find photos of us as a team - there’s one that we howled with laughter about as it was meant to serious but ended up looking like the men in the team were checking out our assets shall we say.  It was characteristic of her that she would laugh so much as well as being brilliant at her job with a strength and confidence that I admired greatly.    So very sad that she has been taken far too soon.  Sending love to her family and friends.

Annette

Laurie is remembered fondly by myself and my family. So sorry for your loss Alex, she has gone far too soon. We remember well holidaying in The Netherlands and spending a wonderful day with you both in Den Haag. Laurie was my colleague, my line manager and my friend. She was a strong supporter of her team, truly caring about our sense of belonging, and I have so many happy memories of team meetings and the meals, quality times and laughs shared. She will be forever in our hearts xx

Laurence was one of a kind.  I first met her on a trip to Belgium where I was interviewing for a position. I can recall her asking me to come to her home so her and her husband could treat me to dinner.  I remember thinking 'wow, who does that?'  Then on last day she insisted that she and Alex take me to the airport.  Again, I was just in awe of her kindness.  Little did I know that was an early start to not only a mentorship but also a friendship.  We traveled together, ate together, shared cocktails, shopped together and laughed together.

My husband was also a huge fan of Laurence-we all loved hanging out.  When my husband was sick, I can recall every treatment week, Laurence (and Alex) would send us dinners.  She was just such a wonderful person and friend.  She always cared about people which is no wonder she spent a lot of her career in insights!

I will miss the texts, the messages, the Christmas cards but most of all her smiling face and laughter.  We love you Laurence. May you rest in peace.

God Bless you!
