Larry Lynn Austin was born on December 18, 1952 to Deodric Floyd Austin and Tommie Lou Mankins Austin in Bonham, Texas and baptized at First Baptist Church in Bonham, Texas on August 18, 1968. He attended Bonham High School, graduating in 1971. Larry began his college career at Midwestern University (now part of the Texas Tech University System) and then transferred to Southwest Texas University (now Texas State University) where he earned a bachelor’s degree …
