It was always a good day when Kev would just drop by the office.

2022, Santiago, Chile
Kevin making friends with strangers, as usual. At this point, we were on day 8 of eating and drinking our way through South America. We were tired, but not Kevin. He proclaimed himself “varsity” and called the rest of us “JV”, with a huge smile and a raised glass. — with Darren Stowell

Every time I asked Kevin how he was doing he would say, “Livin’ the Dream”.  I always chuckled and thought, “ Yeah sure. Me too, Kevin”. It wasn’t until Kevin shared his bucket list with me, shared with me how much he loved Leslie and Dane and then he passed, that I realized what he actually meant was, “That he was literally “living his dream”!

I will miss you dearly Kevin. I am honored to have had you in my life!

Leslie and Dane I am so sad to hear about Kevin. I have so many fond memories of him.  He loved both of you so much and was never shy about showing it. He was such a lovely man. A wonderful host and cook. We are sending you all of our love and support.

2021, Central Catholic High School Football game
A random Friday night. Kevin and I were both home without our spouses so we decided to go to the football game together. Good times were had by all which was typical with Kevin.

Every day, memories of Kevin sprinkle in. Reminders of the beautiful friendship, care, and joy that he brought to this world, to my family, and to my life. His voice, his laughter, his hugs. As I share this story, it will be but one of many. I hope all those who loved him and who were lucky enough to meet Kevin share your memories, too. Not just once, but every time they pop into your thoughts. For Leslie and Dane. For all his family and loved ones. For all of us. Let us share and hold on tight to all the memories as we keep him close.

June 21, 2020. The first Father’s Day of the pandemic. After 85 consecutive dinners our family had with Kevin, Leslie and Dane, we would still never tire of each other. The sun marked a day of joy with corn hole competitions, basketball, and more. This photo below marking the silliness of the day and the final basketball event. Leslie and I prepared scallops- for the first time- ending the day with a delightful family meal once again. I will never forget the carefree spirit of the day, the joy, and the appreciation of family that we have found in the Chigbrows. I am holding on tight to this photo with Kevin and the memory of this day together.
