I was lucky enough to be Ket's technology teacher from the time he entered Davidson Elementary as a third grader until his fifth grade graduation. He was truly a sweet, kind, loving boy. I never saw him say an unkind word to anyone. He was able to light up a room with that lovely smile. He touched more lives than he could possibly have realized, and he will be deeply missed by many. My sincere condolences to the Barrington family.
I remember meeting Ket for the first time and thinking he had the sweetest smile I’d ever seen. I never got to know him really well but he left an impact on me from that moment on. Ket was a pure soul full of light. I’m so sorry for your loss. Praying for healing and peace through this difficult time.
I remember at the 5th grade promotion ceremony at Davidson Elementary the principal presenting the top award to Ket. He shared how Ket quickly learned English then volunteered over his lunch breaks to help the younger students.
From 3rd to 5th grade Ket offered such compassion and empathy to my son Cameron as his little brother battled cancer and supported him through bereavement. We are forever grateful and full of love for Ket's kind heart, brillant smile, and genuine thoughtfulness of others.
Ket knew how to play chess better than anyone I ever knew. I once saw him play against 3 different people at once and won. I could never get passed my fourth move without a checkmate. Even when he won, he never bragged. He shook your hand no matter the outcome of the match. I miss you Ket
Warmest memories of the fifth grade DC trip. Chaperoning Ket, Gabe and Drew made for a great adventure, snow storm and all. Ket was smiling and so gracious the entire trip. My deepest condolences to the Barrington family and all who loved him.
