Born on May 18, 1958, in Newton, New Jersey, Katherine grew up in Port Murray, where the foundation of her lifelong compassion and strength was formed. A devoted mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, and friend, she brought warmth, humor, and resilience to everyone she encountered.
For over 25 years, Katherine served as a hospice nurse, offering dignity and comfort to individuals and families facing life’s hardest moments. She was also a friend of Bill’s for 32 years, a testament to her strength, humility, and commitment to personal transformation and helping others do the same.

She spent years fundraising, organizing events, and ensuring that the service and sacrifices of veterans were never forgotten.
A passionate fan of Broadway musicals, Katherine filled her life with music, joy, and shared memories. Her bond with her granddaughter, Trinity, was central to her heart — from road trips to quiet moments, she treasured every second. Katherine was also known for her deep love of animals and motorcycles, reflecting a spirit that was both nurturing and fiercely independent.
She is survived by her daughter, Randi Krivosh, and son-in-law, Kristian Krivosh; her granddaughter, Trinity Dougherty; her mother, Constance Voorhees; and her brothers, Michael Barna and Christopher Barna. She was preceded in death by her father, Thomas Barna.
