Ibrahim (Julius)'s obituary
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Brother Ibrahim (Julius) Daugherty, who transitioned peacefully back to his Creator on November 13, 2023. Born on November 26, 1948, Brother Ibrahim lived a full and meaningful life that touched all who knew him.
He is survived by his loving wife, Sharon Sadler. He also leaves behind his three children, his daughter, Janna Daugherty and his sons Addam and Ismail Daugherty.
Known for his extroverted, scholarly demeanor, Brother Ibrahim had a unique ability to connect with everyday people from all walks of life. He was a man of wisdom and faith, always eager to share the lessons he had learned on his spiritual journey. In his memory, let us remember his final words, "Don’t commemorate me, commemorate Allah instead."
As per those last wishes, "Let us honor his request by remembering and sharing his Islamic lessons , and perpetuating his legacy of faith.
In observance of his life, his Janazah prayer will be held on November 17, 2023, at 1:00 PM at 3723 Gwynn Oak Ave. Furthermore, his burial will be held at King Memorial Park at 2:30 PM on the same day.
