Happy Birthday Ju!!!

Julio was an amazing husband, father and friend. He was always smiling and enjoying Mona and the children. My fondest memories are of him getting Mona to dance in the kitchen, of course she was always busy cooking, doing dishes, etc. However, he always persuaded her.  He always talked of his family. He was proud of them all.  I also remember that almost every time I was at the house in summer, he was cleaning the pool or taking care of his fruit trees.  The day he brought home his Miata is another good memory.  Most of all, he was a wonderful friend to me. He would chat with me, give me advice, and if I stayed late enough at a party would dance with me.  I think about him often. I think of Mona often. I think of the family often. I know he is missed. I also know he is still proud and smiling down on all of us. He wouldn't have it any other way.

Dearborn, Mi.,

My first memory of Juleo is when I met him at a family event. My daughter was very close to the Desire family and thru her relationship I met Julio. His big smile greeted me as if he always knew me and made me feel at home with him. I loved his accent and how caring he was towards everyone. He was a joy to be around. I enjoyed that 1st day and knew why he had such talented, intelligent and wonderful children. I know my daughter was in great hands and will only grow from her relationship with him. I will miss Julio and his uniqueness. He was amazing and showed my daughter and me what a great person is in life. Thank you  Julio for everything you did for my family.

I am so sorry for the Desire family's loss. He was an incredible man. I remember how light on his feet he was. I always enjoyed watching him and his family show us Haitian dancing. He will be missed but I am honored to have known him.  The Desire family is and will be in my thoughts and prayers.

Condolences to the Désir family.

"Comme des Roses", a beautiful love song by Aznavour, keeps playing in my mind. It is a melody that resembles Julio's life with the love of his life, Mona. Pierre and I will always treasure the good times we shared with them. We will remember Julio for years to come. We offer our sympathy to Mona and our sincere condolences to the entire Desir family.

Dear Desir family Ron and I are so sad to hear that Julio passed away. We have been watching from across the street and wandering about Julio. We will miss him. He was so soft spoken and friendly at the samet time. I would compare myself with him (reserved) and Ron life of the party and outgoing like Mona. He was an example of a family man for sure. Keep all his memories close to your hearts for in the long run that is what gets you through this very difficult time. It was  a terrible shock to hear that our beloved brother JULIO  suddenly passed away.

That leaves a huge gap in the community... Our thoughts and prayers are with the family.

Please accept our most sincere condolences.

My deepest condolences to the family, although we left Michigan in 1982, I have fond memories of Julio. May he Rest In Peace🙏🏾
Many years ago, my late husband Serge and I hosted a holiday party at our house. I remember telling Julio that I was a bit embarrassed to have the party that year because the laundry room in my basement wasn’t presentable at the time. The day before the party, I received a call from Julio. He said he was stopping by. To my surprise he came with tons of holiday decorations and decorated my laundry room. I’ll never forget that. He was a kind hearted man.

My deepest sympathy to Mona, to the family and friends of Julio!  Prayers for comfort and strength!  Julio was one of the kindest man that I know and he always had that great welcoming smile on his face and even you did not see him for years, it is always like yesterday!  He will greatly be missed.  Bon voyage Julio! May God welcome you with open arms  in his kingdom!  Rest In Peace!🙏🏽❤️❤️

We are so shocked to have lost such a great friend, we feel like we're still in a dream. Julio brought us so much joy over the last three decades. He always made us laugh, taught us how to have fun during the pandemic teaching us our favorite card game.

Only two weeks ago we heard your voice and laugh, Julio, and we've been thinking about you and your family every night since we learned of your passing. We will miss you dearly, friend. Very dearly.
In response to "When was the last time you spent time with Julio?"
I loved whenever Julio would come over and make my sister and I laugh. He was an amazing father, friend, and loving partner to Mona. I cannot express how saddened we are and my heart goes out to the entire family.
