Joyce Casteen Anderson, a woman of remarkable strength and grace, passed away peacefully on August 14, 2023. Born on June 30, 1936, Joyce lived a rich and full life characterized by her kindness and generosity.

In her 87 years, Joyce was passionate about many things; her family was her greatest pride and joy.  She was a cherished daughter, sister, wife, mother, aunt and grandmother.  She also raised, trained, and cherished many dogs throughout her life.

Joyce is survived by her beloved husband, George, and her sons, Chip and Jim, along with her brothers, Bill and Doug Casteen.

Joyce will be deeply missed, but her spirit will live on in the hearts of those she touched.

A memorial service was held for Joyce on September 3, 2023, at 1:00 PM at Barton Family Funeral Service in Kirkland, Washington. The service commemorated Joyce's life and offered comfort and support to those grieving.A second memorial service will be held for Joyce in Raleigh, North Carolina, in late September.  Joyce will be laid to rest at Raleigh Memorial Gardens, near her parents.

While we mourn the loss of such an exceptional individual, we should also take a moment to celebrate the life that Joyce led, filled with love, laughter, and countless cherished memories. Her spirit and memory will continue to inspire and guide us in the years to come.
