Jenn, no words can convey the loss of Joe. 

I know his spirit and soul are always with you and the entire DV Tenacious team for whatever lies in store for you. Joe's impact on all those around him through his teachings, kindness, and generosity will always be felt.  A Boston Sea Rover par excellence he will be missed eternally by all. 

Joe would occasionally take cases from Union County OPD.  Over a short span of time, Joe tried 4 homicide cases and won them all.  In one particular case, I watched Joe give his summation and he was so convincing that even the Prosecutor, during their summation, admitted that Joe’s client should not be convicted of Murder.  I saw the Judge’s head pop up as if to say: “Wait… what just happened?”   The Judge then looked at me and I just shrugged my shoulders implying: “It’s Mazraani.   What do you expect?”  Needless to say, Joe obtained an outright acquittal for his client.  

If you were fortunate enough to watch him defend a client’s liberty, well, consider yourself lucky.  If you were unfortunate enough to hear him go on a tirade about “excludable time”, well, you should still consider yourself lucky because he was damn entertaining as well. 

Joe was the consummate defense attorney and a compassionate warrior.  There was no wasted motion.  Ever. 

I will miss him.
