When I first was getting to know Joe at GitLab I was intimidated because he was such a tall handsome, fit guy. It took just a few minutes of talking to him to realize how big of a heart he had. He did the friendly jabs and shit talking perfectly and could immediately get to the heart of things as well. I learned about his time as a college football player and how successful he had been at GitLab and I was super grateful for have him as a friend. Thanks for everything Joe.

Joe embodied an abundance of wonderful qualities and radiated goodness!! I got to work with him for the last couple of years over here at Snapchat and saw his remarkable-ness shine through in so many ways. I am lucky to have gotten to know him and see his smile and sense of humor and caring. So blessed to have known you Joe. I am heartbroken to hear this devastating news. :(
