Jordan's obituary
With profound sadness, we announce the passing of Jordan Wolski on March 18, 2024. He was a remarkable gentleman. Jordan was born in 1965, a year marked by promise and change, qualities which he embodied throughout his life.
Anyone who had the privilege of knowing Jordan would describe him as funny, intelligent, generous, and kind. His sharp wit, paired with his encyclopedic memory of names, dates, music, and meals, he never failed to light up a room. Jordan had an exceptional ability to recollect the most intricate details, keeping everyone around him informed and entertained.
Jordan believed in the transformative power of small gestures; he often emphasized the importance of random acts of kindness and the concept of paying it forward. His teachings in this regard have left indelible impressions on many hearts.
Among his numerous accomplishments, the ones Jordan was most proud of are his son Zachery and his 32 year marriage to wife, Katy. Jordan was a dedicated husband and father, and he carried that dedication to many loving family members and his large circle of friends.
Beyond his family, Jordan left a profound impact on the community through his active involvement in teaching and mentoring Boy Scouts and their advancement to Eagle Scout.
After gaining invaluable experiences throughout the restaurant industry early in life, he spent over 20 years traveling first the United States and, eventually, the world as Director of Compass Global CFE Programs and Business Excellence Manager for Compass Group. The travel allowed him to expand his knowledge of different cultures, and to enjoy lively food experiences. His passions were work, family, food and people; co-workers became friends, friends became family and it was all about food. Bringing people together, sharing a meal, brought him a great deal of joy. Yeah, he got a little work done too.
In 2016 following an accident during international travels for Compass Group, his life was forever changed. The 2020 pandemic then forced an early retirement. Nonetheless, he strived to adapt to new life challenges and continued to enjoy his passions.
The void left by Jordan’s passing is immense, yet his legacy continues through the love, laughter, and wisdom he imparted on us all. His spirit will live on, influencing and inspiring those fortunate enough to have known him.
