I only learned of Jordan's passing a few days ago. I'm still shocked. He and I were roommates and fellow members of a small group called Field Music (drum and bugle corps) at Northwestern Military Academy many moons ago. We were young. We were kids then, but even then, it was obvious that Jordan had that rare gift of high intelligence and a love for people. I didn't know anyone who didn't like Jordan. He frequently helped me with algebra and once gave me a copy of the Beatles "Let it Be" album on Apple Records, which I still have somewhere. My parents loved Jordan and when they visited the Northwestern campus for a parade or guard mount, he always had an open invitation to joins us for an off-campus meal at one of the Lake Geneva restaurants. I left Northwestern at the end of '81 and we spoke again only once more, back in the late 90's. He was living in Chicagoland and working for Applebee's I believe it was. Only now, in scrolling through the photos posted here, did I find yet another commonality - Scouting USA. I achieved the Eagle rank and was briefly in adult leadership before life happened but in seeing Jordan's interaction and obvious love and respect given by troop members, once again, there's his amazing love for people shining through! Jordan, you will be missed, brother! Rest easy, sir!

It's been one year since you left us Jordan. You left a big footprint in this world... literally and metaphorically š.
I remember learning back alley bridge with you and Katy camping in San Diego,Ā girls weekends when you spoiled us with your gourmet cooking, and you're welcoming smile and hug each time I saw you.Ā You are missed.Ā Ā

I only learned of Jordan's passing yesterday from a friend who was with us at Armstrong school (class of '79). Jordan just happened to cross Jess's mind, and Jess looked him up on line yesterday, only to learn the sad news. As it turns out, we both learned of Jordan's passing on his birthday. One thing that strikes me about so many of the people I knew when we were 11, 12, or 13 is that the whole person is already there. He was a lovely guy and none of the beautiful things said about him surprised me. I am so sorry for the loss of your husband and father, son, nephew, and friend. I wish him all the blessings he bestowed on others.Ā God bless!
