On March 31st, 2022, a sunny Thursday morning, Jonny lost his battle with heart failure.  He died peacefully,  without pain, surrounded by his family at Saint Anthony's Hospital in Lakewood, Colorado. On May 9th, 1982, Jonny was the first baby born at Saint Anthony's Hospital in Westminster, Colorado.   It was Mother's Day.  Four years later in 1986, mom and dad moved the family to the mountains of Georgetown, Colorado, there Jonny lived an adventure filled life spent hiking, camping, skiing, mountain biking and fishing. His focus in life has always been his son, Jyah.  To say the least Jonny was an amazing father, taken far too soon. We as a family are at a loss for words when we think of the many wonderful memories and joys we have shared together.  We know his journey here is over and we take comfort knowing that he is with the angels.  Jonny is survived by parents Sam and Tammy Sanford; his son Jyah & dog Mr. Sox; brothers Matthew and Christopher and their wives Cody and Cassidy; nephews Shawn and Sam, of Georgetown, CO.
