Celebrating Tyler Wilson’s family visit with his children, we were fortunate to gather close friends in our backyard. Sylvia is holding Tyler’s youngest son.
working on a Neurosmith project with the LEGO company, we got to fly in their private jet from London to LEGO headquarters in Denmark. It was an incredible trip.
Music blocks costume! We were so proud of our work, but I remember getting in trouble for spray painting the boxes in the back of the building on Studebaker directly onto the concrete.
Sylvia's younger brother and I were sweethearts for quite some time back in that day. We came up to Seal Beach from San Diego for a visit. Emily was quite the strong willed intelligent girl and young John was making sure to show up where and when it mattered. Reilley and I were going to the beach, and I asked if there was anything I could borrow to read. John Sosoka gave me a stack of medical journals and said, " have fun." And even if it all didn't sink in, I learned a few more things I didn't know before. And I was grateful for that. Thank you Mr Sosoka for being able to see that I was I a studious phase as a young person. And thank you to the family for letting me in for that brief period, and welcoming me.
I only knew John for a short period of time, but in that short time he taught me so much and changed my life in a positive way. He loved to tell stories about his career, family, and life before getting diagnosed. And of course, we bonded over our love for dogs (especially Molly). The memory I will always hold near and dear to my heart is the day we were sitting in the living room drinking coffee and Landslide by Fleetwood Mac started playing. He started singing along at the beginning then got choked up and started crying. He explained to me that that song just made him think of his wife and kids and all the “changes” that were happening around him and it made him emotional. He then proceeded to tell me a bunch of beautiful stories about his family and all their adventures and how he wished he could live in those moments forever. Johns love and devotion to his family was beyond inspiring. Truly one of the purest, and smartest, human beings I have ever encountered. His memory will live on forever, especially every time I listen to Landslide.
Please accept our deepest condolences 💐 May John’s legacy live on through his lovely wife, children and parents as well as his extended family. The ZenSpot family extends an abundance of love 💕 to the entire family.
I remember those red shorts at our beach volleyball games on Thursday nights. They were Rick's favorite. 😁.I can still see him standing with a beer in his hand and standing on 1 leg with the other crossed. Rick was a treasure! Hold on to those memories Sylvia as I will always remember Rick as a kind man. Rick is now your guardian angel like Sherlock is mine. God bless you and your family. 💕🙏
John was apart of my life for the last year and half. He was an amazing person to have in life. Going on walks together and getting coffee were days that made my week, one week after the next. We had good laughs and wonderful conversations. He will be missed by my family and so many more. The Egyptians believed that remember and saying someones name kept their spirit alive. He will always be remembered and I hold a special place in my heart for John.
We are so very sorry for your loss. As he did with many people, John made a profound impact on how I look at technology and the world in general. He will be missed.
John and your family's warmth and welcoming care helped us fall in love with Idaho, a place now home to our own family. We wish you strength in this difficult time.
