To John’s family,
John and I for several years ran our dogs off of the Lodi St dead end. My two labs his two goldens. John rode his bike and I ran with my two.
We saw each other two to three times a week if not more. John always shared treats with my dogs so I learned to bring some for his dogs. Such a wonderful man, we had many chats through the years.
I have often wondered about John these past 6 years after losing my two labs to old age in 2015.
So sad to think of him as gone from us, I just wanted you to know what a lasting impact he made upon me with something so trivial as walking our dogs.
God bless you all.

The most fun had with John was my trip to California in 2006. I was 19 and left the ice and snow of rural Ontario, Canada in February. I had my eyes opened and mind educated that it snowed in California … we ‘pretend’ cross country skied on the trails near his house and took in the beautiful scenery ! May You Rest In Peace ❄️💛

Leslie ....Donna and I were saddened to hear of the passing of your father. You always spoke with affection and respect for your father. Our thoughts are with you and your partner John.

John was a good friend to us for many years. We spent many Fourth of July’s enjoying BBQ and the fireworks over Lake Tahoe with him. Berts Cafe is a favorite breakfast spot where we met John and chatted about local events……… he was always up to date on everything in town! We will miss him and consider ourselves very fortunate to have known John and enjoyed his friendship . He was a dear friend and will be remembered always.

John will truly be missed. He was a wonderful man . He made great cookies! I remember when he used to come into the shop and bring me his favorite cookies. Then I'd have him fix something at the house ,no one was better than him ! The love he had for the outdoors, I would see him all the time at Fallen Leaf when I was walking dog, man had alot more energy than me!!!! My husband and I adored him. Our condolences to all of you .❤❤❤

At times, John was a 2nd father figure from afar to me. He never knew it, but he was one of the few I heard give guidance in my mind. His son was my best friend from 4th grade until we each went on our separate ways in life after high school. I miss and think of Randy often and feel comfort in knowing that he is together with his father now. You touched my life John, rest in peace with Randy and all your forever dogs. Goodbye.

So grateful to have had the family reunion in 2019 to spend time with Uncle John and to see him interact with his siblings. How precious those memories are to us all now and for you to cherish Leslie.
